Always Alone...

The only sounds on the otherwise silent hill were the sounds of paws treading on the almost like gravel surface of the hill. The paws belonged to Shan, an large white and green wolf with wings, and he was - once again - alone...
He shook his pelt and stopped on the edge of a steep drop, looking down for a moment before glancing upwards at the almost cloudless sky. He sighed and sat down, curling his tail around his body and watching as a small black-bird flew past him, chirping loudly as it went. He smiled weakly stared after it as it flew into the distance, reminding him of how free he really was - but didn't want to be.
